Bagels, Donuts, and Morning Magic in Wilmington

"Went there for the apple fritter, since the reviews say it is amazing. It was very, very good- but sparse on the 'apple' part. The actual fritter part was tremendously delicious! If there were larger chunks of apples, it would contend as the best apple fritter I've ever had. As it is, it is very good. I'll stop again if I'm around Castle Hayne, but couldn't justify a special trip."

"Finally decided to try this place out since I drive past it every day. They have such a fun array of donuts, I even saw one designed as a watermelon. A ton of options for bagels, croissants, muffins, apple turnovers, etc. I went for the Hawaiian Sandwich so I could have something to share with my picky kid. It was HUGE! They stacked it and didn't stinge out on us. I will 100% be going back. Price was very decent as well considering you lose $500 just by stepping outside these days. Lastly, the place is a small sit down with just a couple of tables, (we got to go), it's very clean, and the young lady who helped us was very polite and patient. They were working their tails off in there with a full house of customers. Don't forget to leave a tip and support local businesses!"

"Ive waited until my 3rd time ordering before adding a review. I have not tried the bagels or the donuts yet. I always order the breakfast burritos. Today and the last two times before are the same. The food inside the burrito never gets drained of grease probably so the outside of the burrito is always drenched in grease making it tough to eat. All 3 times Ive ordered the breakfast burrito Ive ordered something different with lots of veggies. All 3 times the inside of each burrito has been extremely bland due to lack of seasoning. My breakfast burritos are always $14-$15 due to the extra veggies I add to it. Today on 5/25/24 I ordered my breakfast burrito with two sides of tater tots and a side of king sauce. I placed my order at 9:15 am to be picked up at 9:40 am. I got there at 9:32 knowing I was a bit early. I received my order at 9:53 am. Between 9:32 and 9:53 several customers came through the front door and ordered breakfast burritos with other orders larger than my order. In this 11 minute time frame 5 larger orders than my own were prepared faster than my own. I added a $6 tip to my total hopping maybe my order would be made with a little more love and prepared on time. So once I received my order my side of King Sauce was not in the bag and my tater tots were cooked to a crunchy crisp that tasted like the oil they were cooked in had not been changed in a week. My kids couldnt bite through the tater tots at all. My dog would not eat them. Maybe Im ordering the wrong items. Maybe the donuts and bagels are the best thing ever. However online orders that pay and tip ahead are made last with no love at all. I spent $26 on a tasteless breakfast burrito and almost burned tater tots that took 30+ minutes to prepare. I paid an extra $1.50 for a side of King Sauce that was in a cup 1/3 of the way full. Had my order been ready at 9:40 and my King Sauce had been in the bag I would have added more cash $ to the tip jar. Again this was my 3rd time ordering take out online and all 3 times have been the exact same quality and I always have to wait or have something missing from my order of poorly made greasy food. Bagel King is not King of Burritos. Maybe next time I should just go to Burger King and order the Eggnormous Breakfast Burrito via the drive through were no tip is required and everything is seasoned properly then ready in 5 mins or less. No one smiles at Bagel King. Lizbeth always looks so unhappy to be there no matter what day of the week I go."

"Dropped by to get a bagel sandwich and a couple of donuts for breakfast. The sun dried tomato 3 cheese bagel with egg, cheddar cheese and Taylor ham was delicious; deserving five stars. The sour cream glazed old fashioned donut was also delicious. The three star rating is due to the glazed chocolate old fashioned donut; it had no chocolate taste at all, very disappointing."
